This add-on introduces barbarians that will need to be held back by alliances and knights. It was first published in 1995 in Germany by Franckh-Kosmos Verlag.

The more advanced Cites & Knights expansion is also already available but does not come free with the game. Catan, previously known as The Settlers of Catan or simply Settlers, is a multiplayer board game designed by Klaus Teuber. This means players will be able to explore the islands, build ships and worry about pirates. The Seafarers expansion is already in the basic game. The digital version has a campaign mode with scenarios and three different levels of difficulty. This means building on the most strategic locations and trading carefully with rivals. You know the drill, you’re on the island and vying for control.
